Dr. Mary Ellen Prince Veterinarian, Practice Owner
Dr. Mary Ellen Prince grew up in Florida and has undergraduate and graduate degrees in wildlife biology. Dr. Prince and Dr. Maguire met when they were both students at the University of Prince Edward Island. Dr. Prince graduated from Washington State University Veterinary School in 2008. After graduation, Dr. Prince worked in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for 7 years. Her desire to provide outstanding patient care, excellent client service, and a rewarding work environment for herself and her employees inspired her to become a practice owner.
Dr. Fintan Maguire Veterinarian, Practice Owner
Dr. Fintan Maguire was born in Ireland and his family emigrated to Canada when he was 8 years old. Dr. Maguire graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island Veterinary School in 2002, where he met Dr. Prince. After graduation, Dr. Maguire moved to Arizona so Dr. Prince could pursue her career as a wildlife biologist. When Dr. Prince was accepted into veterinary school, Dr. Maguire started working in Post Falls, Idaho where he stayed for 14 years. Dr. Maguire’s love for science, the challenge of medicine, and the opportunity to interact with interesting clients every day are what inspired him to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Katie Welch Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Katie Welch joined Four Paws in January 2021. She was born and raised in Three Forks, Montana, and graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their two children, and three dogs.
